Your footnote made me look up flight and hotel info to NYC, just for fun--what a cool itinerary you shared for what seems like a lovely, lovely day. I bookmarked this post, in case I ever get back to NYC and have a day to myself to do as I please. For now, it's a day trip that lives inside my imagination. Books and birds and crumbs and all. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, Ingrid! I'm honored it convinced you to even look up the trip. And the imagination is a wonderful place for anything to live. Thanks again.
“And I think, too, of someone made older by the strange isolating tendency of this world, made to feel lonelier for who they are or what they desire.”
I really appreciate your direct and matter-of-fact approach, handing to passers-by a series of threads on a loom or ribbons around a maypole, and saying, Hold these; move with me. So much to think about, in such new ways, amid ongoing transformation. Thank you, Devin.
"Sometimes you get in a poem and you don’t want to leave it. Not for some silly reason. No, you cannot live in a poem. Surely not. But you can live in the space it creates in yourself." hit me like a bolt of holy lightning. Your work continues to save my life a little every time I read it (and live in the space it makes and reveals in me). Thank you.
Thank you so much for the introduction to Ana Božičević, especially "CFRN ... All it needed was a little story."
And the mention of Nicholas Roerich. Only once was I in New York City. For a week in 1983. Had not yet seen any of Nicholas Roerich's paintings but did a lot of wandering through museums and art galleries. Took the subway to Brooklyn and Greenwich Village.
I look forward to your posts on Sundays. There is vital energy here. Full spectrum of emotions. Gravity and levity.
so nice to know the Hungarian pastry shop lives on! I used to go there in the early 80's for tea and cookies. There was always someone there to read your tarot cards. The loveliest atmosphere to read, or think. And then over to V+T's for eggplant pizza.

Thank you so much, Daniel -- what lovely and kind words. I really appreciate it.

Thank you always, Troy -- for reading and for taking the time to offer these words.

Thanks so much for reading, Amanda! And yes...if you're ever in NYC again, I recommend Roerich! Stunning paintings; tiny museum.
Wonderful. A turn of phrase, a change of view. Thank you so much.
Thanks always, Leanne!
Thank you for leading us so softly to this magic!
Thank you!
