Thank you for the poetry from incarcerated persons - they are turning towards the light also (young and old) although there are deep fractures in our world. "And there is something that often happens, as poets write into the lateness of their lives. They turn, so often, toward light, and toward a kind of oneness that offering attention to light inspires." The healing of the world must go on.
I didn’t know Williams’s poetry. Thanks for introducing me, and for placing it, as always, in such a rich bouquet of other poets’ words. And for always coming back to what matters.
Stunning words today all around. So many different beautiful expressions here. Thank you for all of this. I will dig into William’s poetry. There is honesty in his words.
Devastating...thank you very much for bringing light to Williams' poetry. I joined the millions that were following this case and watching the clock hoping for a final stay.

thank you so much for this, and for reading.
"... how strange it is to become aware of another’s heartbeat but forget one’s own—
finally love."
"... How can the life of such a man
Be in the palm of some fool's hand?
To see him obviously framed
Couldn't help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land
Where justice is a game ..."
(Hurricane, Bob Dylan lyrics -- 1975)

"... Prison guards, they cursed him
As they watched him from above
But they were frightened of his power
They were scared of his love ..."
"Per lo schiavo, la rivoluzione E un imperativo e atto cosciente di disperazione detatto dall'amore"
"For the slave, the revolution is an imperative and a conscious act of desperation dictated by love."
(George Jackson)
