“Poetry is a springboard to the possible”. I love this. Thank you and congratulations on five years of bringing that sense of wonder and possibility to all of us. We all cherish your writing. Can’t wait to read “Pilgrims”!
When you started to write about this being five years of the newsletter, I could feel my breath hold. And my mind got loud, saying - "He's stopping. This is going to be about him stopping. It's over. This is it. This is the last one." And as I parachuted through your chorus on possibility, fragility and limits, I released that breath. And that fear. It will all end some day. Even this newsletter. Thank you for being here now. Thank you for the humanity. Oh and those last lines in your writing. Got me. Solidly. Thank you.
"Come on. Fuck the real world. Our love for one another makes what could be possible, possible. We offer this language to each other every day, if only we are willing to listen for it, to read it in the everydayness of the world." I love these words, Thank you!
Thank you for 5 years of such generosity that hits squarely home every time. Feels so good to dwell in the land of "Yes", however briefly, each week. I forward these often to others. The ripple effects go on...
Thanks always, Devin, for your heart-opening attention to poems. Long live your practice and the way you so generously share it. While reading your post this morning, I thought of MLK Jr's words: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that."
Thank you for these newsletters. A labor of love that spreads the re-imagining. Grateful, as always, to read your words this morning. So much joy (I spent some time remembering my son's high school graduation 🙂)
The most meaningful and impactful things in my life have often happened beyond my control—like meeting my dearest friends, my mentors, and how I stumbled across your Twitter handle quite a while ago. I’m a curious searcher, and more often than not it requires to sift through a lot of noise to find the diamond—but it’s always worth it when I come across someone like you.
I found myself envious—inspired—by the way you think, how you process, how you internalize and examine the world. Your critical mind motivates me. Thank you for the love you pour into each essay. Your empathy and vulnerability are powerfully on display every Sunday.

Ah, Dana! Thank you for this. And for always reading. And for your presence! Appreciate you.
This feels like being at a concert and lighting a flame in the darkness in solidarity - the beauty and purity of shared community. Thank you.
