I know I am repeating myself, but I eagerly look forward to everything you post here, I cherish it, it's such a wonderful gift, this newsletter, and I often walk alway with the feeling that something, some door or window, has just lit up. So, thank you. I hope you do this forever (haha).
And how I wish I could be in your class. And, gosh, what a beautiful ending! ♥
Thank you for sharing these wonderful poems. Your beautiful writing illuminated them for me!
Your line, "I don’t often stop to think about the beauty of small and ordinary things.”, reminded me of a quote I used to tell my photography students from the Robin Williams movie “One Hour Photo”. His character, an eccentric clerk at a photo store said, "Most people don't take snapshots of the little things. The used Band-Aid, the guy at the gas station, the wasp on the Jell-O. But these are the things that make up the true picture of our lives. People don't take pictures of these things."
Hi Devin:) I am a doctor from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia who finds utter joy in poetry yes as much as I do find joy in my not-so-poetic line of work ( I dealt with data control, medical records and stuff). But whewww! I am so glad I had found this page!!! I am tearing up a bit right now :'((( your words did wonders to my soul. And you wrote so tenderly and so beautifully all THAT can only came from such a tender, BIG BEAUTIFUL SOUL of yours and yours alone :'((( keep on writing please:'( and keep on sharing, about your subway rides, about your morning jog; anything :) ! I'll stay a reader/a fan as long as I can:) !
I like the meaning and the visual of "looking through a pinhole at the universe". There is so much here that resounds for me. And possibly for everyone I know. I think I'll share it!
That last paragraph!!! Uff. So good. Thank you.
